A lot more Blue Eye tutorials is being recorded right now, and will soon be available.

Including some new features coming up in version 1.2 of Blue Eye, which includes tracking different objects on screen.

Please post any ideas / requests for tutorials in this post.

Is the tracking going to have multi-directions

instead of just Up - Down - Left - Right

Upper Left - Upper Right - Down - Up - Left - Right - Lower Left - Lower Right

etc. If it is are you going to display a tutorial of accurate tracking?

I guess i didn't choose my words carefully enough, by tracking i actually meant locating.
One of the main features for version 1.2 is going to be Color.Find Object

Which will be able to locate a object on your screen, similar to the way the current Color.Find area containing 5 colors (RGB)
function does.

However far more advanced, it will keep searching trying to adapt to different light and color conditions.
Especially for things such as fishing in WoW it will be very useful, so you wont have to track the path of the line, but just jump straight there, and you'd probably want to be in zoom view then, which would make the splash far more clear, and easier to detect/react on.

However let me comment on the accurate tracking question.

The current Track color path feature only supports up, down, left, right. because the direction is really just needed to tell Blue Eye in which direction it should begin tracking. and if a color (like a fishing line) is in a 25 degree angle, then "Up" as well as "Right" would do the trick.

However i see how adding more directions would give you more freedom to decide which path to follow, if several different paths are available.

Perhaps in a feature version you could enter a direction, OR give it a range of angles, within which the path of the color must be.

My concern though is that this feature will be too complicated to use for most users. However if a need shows itself, id be happy to implement it.

Is there a tutorial that show simple coding for simple user? This isn't too newbie friendly overall especially for those who need something complex beyond simple but not overly complex.

I mean i love the recording thing. However, i feel Blue-eye lacks ability in editing, it should generate a list of "functions" to choose from (or i just don't know where it is yet as i just got it today).

For example, how do i know how to enter certain functions like If or conditions?

Would be nice to have a documentary of more common macro functions for those who just start using and want to do a little fix and there. (what i mean is inside the program, something i can just grab and go kinda thing)

I am reading the documentary on the forum...personally, i am pretty dumb, i don't understand most of it until i am show how they are use or have a button that pop it up and vola. The design view is pretty confusing to me with the drop down and all and i still can't add function in between without going to code view...

a little too confusing for a starter right now.

Thank you.

Thank you for the feedback.

I will have some starter tutorials made, showing the different functions in BE and how to use them.
Also, for the future I do plan on allowing new criterias / instructions to be inserted inside a context also in design view.

Don't forget to upload it all to Youtube as well! I can imagine lots of people looking for macros will end up there.

I will.

As soon as I get a bit of time for it, I will record some new tutorials - sort of Introduction tutorials, to make it easier for newcomers to get an overview of all the functions underneath the surface.

I have an idea for a/some level(s) for the tutorial, where the user should make a macro for a "game" like this: (see the attachment of a screen-dump)

Attachment:

The point should be that the user should make a macro there could give the right calculation / answer. It could be done like the left most box is 128, the next is 64 etc. Then it should check if the box is yellow or pink. Then get all the yellow boxes value and then add them together and pass the result.

A level 2 of the game (for a harder level in the tutorial) could be the macro should do the above + check if there is any value inside the "calculation" box. If there is a value then it should click on the pink boxes to make them yellow so it will give the right result. Like if the result was 5 it should mark the boxes there represented 4 and 1.

A even even harder level for a tutorial could be that the lines of boxes would stack op REALLY fast so you had to "optimize" your macro before it could pass that level.

I got the idea from https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/docs/DOC-1803 - sadly you have to create a account before you are allowed to try it out.

And with some luck the user could also learn some binary :p

I hope you like the idea, and just say if you would like me to explain some more.. But yes I actually just explain the game hehe.. But I just thought that it could be really funny to make a macro in the tutorial like this..!!!

hehe, thank you for the idea.

I fear it might be slightly too "geeky" for most of the BE users hehe, but never the less it would be a fun challenge, maybe something similar, but without the binary numbers.

Thank you.

Hehe... Can it be too geeky? :p

But I see, but I hope you can use the idea behind it and make something similarly! I think it could be really fun - but anyway if that's only me I should properly just make the macro on my own :)
